Gresham Resident Claims $1,000,000 Thanksgiving Raffle^SM Prize

November 29, 2011 - Gresham, Ore. - Tom Struzan of Gresham now knows the answer to that age-old question, “How long does it take to become a millionaire?” In Struzan’s case, it took just a little over 31 hours.

Struzan presented his winning $1 million ticket from the November 22, Thanksgiving Raffle^SM at the Lottery office in Salem on Nov. 23, approximately 31 hours and 12 minutes after the 8:30 a.m. drawing. After state and federal taxes were withheld, Struzan received a prize check in the amount of $670,003.50. The winning ticket was purchased at the Hubbard 76 Station. The winning ticket number was 233248.

Along with the $1 million top prize, the $10 Thanksgiving Raffle ticket offered players 10 prizes of $20,000 and 1,000 prizes of $100. As of Nov. 28, three of the $20,000 prizes, and 618 $100 prizes had been claimed. More than $105,000 in prizes are waiting to be claimed from the Nov. 22, 2011 Thanksgiving Raffle.

A complete list of all 1,011 winning Raffle numbers can be found on the Lottery’s Web site at www.oregonlottery.org. Players can also check their Raffle tickets at any Oregon Lottery retail location.

The Lottery recommends that you always sign the back of your tickets with each Oregon Lottery® game you play to help ensure you can claim any prize you may win.
