Where the Salmon River meets the Pacific, you’ll find one of the last wild tracts on Oregon’s central coast. Virtually unchanged for centuries, the estuary is a haven for over 350 species of birds, fish and other animals. Now, thanks to funding help from the Oregon Lottery®, we’re happy to say it will stay that way. Lottery proceeds were used to help secure a land preservation agreement for the adjoining property, which will help protect this rare and critical habitat for us, and for generations to come.
